Vision, Mission Statement and Aims

Staff have recently agreed the following Vision, Mission Statement and Aims in line with the Revised Curriculum.

Our Vision

Our vision is “Learning for Life”

The Mission Statement is:

We believe that each child will succeed through experiencing:

  • A broad, balanced and challenging curriculum
  • A warm, caring and stimulating learning environment
  • An ethos of support, challenge and encouragement which will raise the child’s self esteem
  • Innovative teaching and an investigative approach to learning
  • An enriched programme of extra-curricular activities and visits
  • Effective learning partnerships between school, home and the community.

Aims for our pupils

We want our pupils to:

  • Have high self esteem – respecting themselves, others and the environment
  • Acquire attitudes of acceptance, tolerance, equality, honesty and trust
  • Take responsibility for their own behaviour and actions
  • Achieve their best in all areas of the curriculum
  • Develop a range of communication, practical and technology skills
  • Gain life skills e.g. personal safety, problem solving
  • Work independently, creatively and collaboratively
  • Become confident, well motivated,inquisitive life-long learners
